‘Emotional’ :Sean Dyche shares what he told his Everton players at half-time against Crystal Palace

Sean Dyche has come under some pretty intense scrutiny in recent months for the way his Everton side have been performing.

   After all, after losing their first four Premier League games and being knocked out of the cup, there was good cause for concern.

   It’s a fan base never afraid to express their feelings, and Goodison Park has been left divided over whether the 53-year-old should continue in the job.

   Well, after finally claiming that elusive first win, he’s finally taking steps to justify his continued employment.

   Sean Dyche remained matter-of-fact as usual when speaking to reporters after his side’s first 2-1 win against Crystal Palace in the Premier League season.

   After all, he always likes to emphasize that he never falls too high after a win and never too low after a loss.

   But although he rarely shows it in his press conferences, behind closed doors there is clearly a great passion to get what he wants from his players.

   Dyche would take advantage of that on Saturday, revealing his half-time team talk: “I explained to the boys that sometimes in football you wait for someone else to make the difference and sometimes they do.

   “But in a game where no one makes a difference, it has to be a collective. So it’s more about that, not just putting in tactics, but the feeling of the actual performance. That emotional feeling of wearing the jersey, coming together to play hard and win.”

   Who can Everton replace Sean Dyche with?

   Realistically, even if Everton were to sack Dyche, there are very few replacements who would come for a cut price and make more of an impact than the current boss can.

   Graham Potter is still an out-of-work prospect, but it will take some time to get used to his methods.    A time that caramels don’t have.

   Another option could be Maurizio Sarri, who seems to be more of an option for Dan Friedkin than anything else.

   With David Moyes linked with the Crystal Palace job, rumors of a return to Everton now seem more unlikely, making Dyche the standout candidate for their current predicament.
