⛑️REPORT :Morgan Gibbs-White injury update emerges with Nottingham Forest return date stated

admin

Morgan Gibbs-White’s injury against Chelsea will be causing some Nottingham Forest fans sleepless nights, and now there’s finally an update.

Nuno Espirito Santo was concerned about Morgan Gibbs-White’s injury after the game against Chelsea, fearing it could be long-term.

The midfielder appeared to twist his ankle and knee slightly when under pressure from a Chelsea player and was substituted.

Nottingham Forest have lost just one game this season, which came when Gibbs-White was sidelined for a red card against Brighton.

Gibbs-White will also miss a link with the England squad after receiving his second call-up recently.

But now a positive damage update has been provided.

Morgan Gibbs-White injury update and possible return date for Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest received positive news regarding Morgan Gibbs-White this Tuesday morning.

According to The Athletic, Morgan Gibbs-White’s injury is not as serious as first feared.

Scans actually showed that he had suffered a sprain, but not any significant ligament damage.

Paul Taylor says he faces a battle to be fit for the visit of Palace on Monday, October 21.

Importance of Morgan Gibbs-White at Nottingham Forest

Morgan Gibbs-White’s impact on this Nottingham Forest side cannot be understated.

He stitches things together in the final third with his intricate passing and vision, and often helps build attacks and counter the opposition with runs from midfield.

His absence was very felt against Fulham as Forest created nothing for Taiwa Awoniyi and Chris Wood in the final third.

This is much better news than any fan would have expected, especially after Nuno Santo’s concerned reaction.

But with a return date now a possibility for Crystal Palace, he will miss the game at worst.
