FA issue statement after Fabian Hurzeler and Nuno Espirito Santo disciplinary decision

Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has been handed a three-match ban and fined £55,000 after accepting a Football Association charge of misconduct when he was sent off against Brighton.

   Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, who was sent off for a second yellow card late on in the 2-2 draw at the Amex Stadium, was handed a one-match ban and a £20,000 fine by the Independent Enforcement Panel.

   Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler was also charged by the FA after he stormed the pitch to protest Gibbs-White’s challenge on Joao Pedro, with referee Robert Jones sending off Nuno for his angry reaction to the Forest midfielder’s sending off.

   A statement from the FA read: “Nuno Espirito Santo, Morgan Gibbs-White and Fabian Hurzeler admitted their charges.

   “The Nottingham Forest head coach has been handed a two-match ban and a £55,000 fine by the Independent Regulatory Commission, triggering a further one-match ban and a £20,000 fine for the Nottingham Forest midfielder.

   “Brighton & Hove Albion manager fined £8,000 after accepting standard penalty”.
