Nuno Espirito Santo shares how Nottingham Forest will operate during his touchline ban

Nottingham Forest are going to have to cope without their manager for a number of games following the recent news from the FA.

Forest have been one of the surprise packages in the Premier League so far with the Reds sitting inside the top half coming out of the international break.

It is an break which has not been kind to Forest with Morgan Gibbs-White having been spotted using crutches and wearing a protective boot.

Adding to their issues, Nuno Espirito Santo has now been handed a three-match ban from the sideline.

This comes following the controversy from the draw away to Brighton & Hove Albion which saw Gibbs-White sent off by Rob Jones.

But the Forest boss has already shared the plans formed between him and his staff for the upcoming three Premier League games.

Not only was Nuno handed a three-game ban from the sidelines but he was also slapped with a hefty £50,000 fine.

Gibbs-White was also handed a one-game ban for his involvement in the heated tempers a couple of weeks ago at the Amex Stadium.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Nuno was provided an opportunity to react to the news as well as sharing his plans for his time in the stands.

“It’s tough, it’s tough, it’s tough. It’s not easy but like I said, it’s important that we are ready as a coaching staff,” said Nuno.

“We’re going to be in permanent contact, we’re gonna speak, there’s phones, there’s radio, whatever. And what’s important is we prepare well, the team this is what we are doing to make sure that the players they are the ones that have to be ready to compete.”

Monday evening is going to offer the Reds with a big opportunity to get three points on the board for the first time at home this season.

For as good as Forest have been at times this season, their home form has been pretty underwhelming with two draws and a loss.

And Forest will be coming up against a Crystal Palace side who have been unable to secure three points all season.

With Nuno sat in the stands, the Reds cannot afford to make any excuses for themselves with anything other than a victory signalling a worrying start in front of their home crowd.
