Elliot Anderson picks out one Nottingham Forest teammate for praise after Leicester win

Elliot Anderson has been one of the standouts for Nottingham Forest in the current campaign, but it was his turn to fire some praise the way of a teammate after the Leicester win.

Nuno Espirito Santo has just one game left of his three-match ban, which has actually gone very well so far with Rui Silva enjoying a perfect record on the touchline.

Morgan Gibbs-White served his suspension against Crystal Palace, but an injury continues to keep him out, with Nuno stating that he’s working day-to-day with the medical staff.

Elliot Anderson has been tasked with filling in slightly higher up the field, and he’s taken to it like a duck to water. Delivering two of his best performances in the red shirt.

Nottingham Forest fans will be glad Anderson did play after weirdly missing training alongside Morgan Gibbs-White just a day before the Leicester clash.

However, Anderson took to Instagram to praise one of his teammates rather than take any plaudits.

There’s a whole host of players that deserved praise for their performances on the field against the Foxes, with three goals scored and another impressive defensive display.

However, Anderson opted to praise Chris Wood for adding two more goals to his tally with a brace that won the match for the Reds.

Speaking on Instagram, he reacted to Nottingham Forest’s post of the full-time score with a two-word message on his story aimed at Wood.

It stated, ‘@woodsy39 on flames’ with three fire emojis.

Nottingham Forest fans are well aware of the partnership Gibbs-White and Wood have developed at the City Ground, but the link-up of Anderson and the New Zealand international has been just as impressive.

Anderson provided the assist for Wood’s first goal of the night, finding him in the centre of the box and he did the rest with a lovely finish.

Much like Gibbs-White, Anderson hasn’t come up with massive amounts of contributions this season, but it’s the work he does in the build-up and link-up play that really shines through.

The prospect of having Gibbs-White, Wood and Anderson all back together is mouth-watering.
