ExWHUemployee: West Ham deal to sign player permanently now hinges on one condition

West Ham are keen to secure Jean-Clair Tobid’s signature but the transfer is conditional, according to ExWHUemployee.

A reliable Hammers news source claimed via West Ham Way on October 28 that the only thing stopping the France international from signing permanently is the club’s uncertain Premier League future and that he will join permanently if they avoid relegation.

The Irons are currently in 13th place after beating Manchester United 2-1 at the London Stadium on October 27.

“We can exclusively reveal that the only thing stopping Jean-Clair Todibo from becoming a permanent West Ham player is if the club stays in the Premier League,” Ex said.

“Todibo came to the club on loan from Nice with an obligation to buy if certain criteria were met. It was thought that he only needed to make more than 5 PL appearances for the club, which he did with six appearances on Sunday.

“Todibo replaced Mavropanos at half-time on Sunday and continued with a very solid game.

“This will be positive news for West Ham fans who have been delighted to see the France international start at the club.”

Jean-Clair Todibo is rightly concerned about the situation at West Ham

Despite significant investment in the team and the appointment of a new coach, Julen Lopetegui, the club’s performance has not met expectations, and the team is in the middle of the table.

This could be one of the reasons why Todibo may be worried about his long-term future at the club.

The Hammers were expected to challenge for European places rather than challenge for Premier League status.

For Todibo, whose loan deal includes a buy-out clause if the Hammers stay in the Premier League, the stay means a long-term commitment to a club whose immediate future appears uncertain.

This uncertainty could affect not only his playing time, but also his career.

Lopetegui needs to quickly turn the club’s fortunes around to not only save West Ham’s season but also convince other signings that the club is heading in the right direction, as there are very few clues at the moment.
