Nottingham Forest eyeing January loan move for “clinical” new striker who’s sponsored by Nike

Nottingham Forest are among the teams interested in signing the “clinical” striker, who could be available on loan in the January transfer window, according to a new report.    The 2024/25 season has been impressive so far for the Reds as they have lost just one of their first nine league games and are just a few points off the top four ahead of Saturday’s game against West Ham United.

   Everyone connected with Forest will be pleased with their start to the season, which will bring good games and will worry the fans.    Key defender Murillo is now attracting transfer interest from Chelsea and Liverpool after impressing for Forest.

   Both teams are expected to bid for a defender, with Liverpool looking at a potential replacement for Virgil van Dijk given his contract status.    Chelsea, meanwhile, are interested in the player but have yet to decide whether they want to sign the defender in the upcoming transfer window.

   There is good news for the club though, as Forest have opened talks with talisman Chris Wood over a new deal and they are confident of agreeing a new deal.    The New Zealand international scored seven goals in nine Premier League games and became a very important player for the Reds.    Woods’ contract expires this season, but the Reds are now working to agree new terms.

   While they are looking to tie Wood down to a new contract, Forest are also looking to increase their options in that area of the pitch to take the pressure off the New Zealand striker.

   Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Corinthians striker Yuri Albert, according to TBR Football.    The Reds are not alone in their pursuit, as West Ham, Newcastle United and Everton are also interested in a deal for the youngster.

   Alberto is a player who has been on the radar of English clubs in recent transfer windows, but has seen potential contract collapses.    Forest are now among the teams said to be long-term admirers of the striker.

   Described as “clinical” by Football Talent Scout Jacek Kulig, Alberto joined Corinthians in January 2023 from Zenit St.   Petersburg after spending six months on loan at the Brazilian club.    The Nike-sponsored 23-year-old started his career at Santos before moving to Internacional in 2020 and then Zenit St.   Petersburg 2022.

   This report adds that Alberto could be available on loan in January, which could attract interested English sides.    The young striker has scored six goals in his last six games, eight of nine in the Copa Sudamericana.    Forest already manage Wood, but Nuno sees Alberto as a good option to come off the bench and eventually succeed the veteran number nine.
