Newcastle have had a mixed start to the 2024-25 season, winning five and losing three of their 11 Premier League games to finish eighth in the table.

However, the mood in the club is very positive at the moment, as they have compiled a streak of three victories in all competitions.

They avenged a 2-1 league defeat to Chelsea by knocking the Blues out of the Carabao Cup last month.

The Magpies then beat Arsenal 1-0 at St James’ Park, and Isak scored the decisive goal.

The Tyneside club also put in an excellent performance at the City Ground on Sunday, beating Forest 3-1 to head into the international break with confidence.
